Our Story

Empowering the next generation...

My journey is deeply rooted in personal experiences that ignited my passion for helping others. Growing up in Brooklyn, New York, I faced unique challenges, including surviving a mentally and physically abusive relationship as a young teenager. During that tumultuous time, I felt trapped and lost sight of who I was—but it also instilled in me a fierce resilience and taught me the critical importance of positive connections.

My greatest inspiration has always been my mother. Despite facing life-threatening health battles like breast cancer and a stroke, she raised six children and earned her master's degree. Her unwavering strength taught me invaluable lessons about vulnerability, the power of a support system, and turning pain into purpose.

Since 2011, I’ve watched an alarming mental health crisis unfold among our youth, mirroring the very struggles I faced. Seeing young people turn to risky behaviors and feel lost in a world that fails to nurture their unique identities fueled my desire to create change. I founded Kairos Faith Sisterhood and Champions (KFS&C) to ensure that others would not feel as lost and hopeless as I once did.
