





A lifelong Newark resident, Rahaman has a rich history in football, participating in local leagues such as Newark Pop Warner for several years. His coaching experience spans multiple organizations in Newark since 2018, including roles with Newark Youth Football and the West Side Wildcats. Rahaman has dedicated over four years to coaching and leading the team from its humble beginnings of just 12 players to the thriving organization it is today. As the lead coach for the new Therapeutic Football team, he champions opportunities for underserved youth, focusing on those from low-income, foster care, and disadvantaged backgrounds.

Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, Tharon Perry has deep roots in the community he serves. Growing up playing in West Side Park, Tharon has volunteered as a community coach for various youth sports teams since 2019, including baseball, football, and flag football with the North Plainfield Recreation Department. His extensive coaching experience has allowed him to inspire and encourage local youth, fostering their growth, confidence, and potential. Tharon is dedicated to providing all young athletes with inclusive and empowering opportunities to succeed in their sports and life.

Carl, played as a cornerback in the NFL for the Minnesota Vikings and the New Orleans Saints. Drafted in the seventh round of the 1983 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings, Carl had an illustrious playing career from 1983 to 1994, earning three Pro Bowl selections and being named a First-Team All-Pro in 1988. His impressive career totals include 31 interceptions and 803 total tackles.
After his playing days, Carl transitioned into coaching, serving as the head football coach at West Virginia State University from 1996 to 2005 and at South Charleston High School in 2022. He has been a board member of Kairos Faith Sisterhood and Champions (KFS&C) since 2025. In addition to his coaching experience, Carl is dedicated to mentoring youth athletes. He is passionate about giving back to the community by sharing the knowledge he gained throughout his time in the NFL, his coaching endeavors, and his commitment to educating young players on the importance of sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership.
Carl leverages his extensive experience to provide guidance on coaching and player development. His passion for football and commitment to nurturing young talent make him a vital asset to our program.
